Should i join mages guild

The Mages Guild themselves are not fond of the Telvanni house, but there's nothing stopping you from joining both. From memory if you join Telvanni, the disposition of Mages guild members towards you decreases slightly. But they don't kick you out or anything. The only 'conflict' as such in the game is between the Fighters Guild and Thieves Guild, and thats because a lot of high-ranking Fighters Guild members are affiliated with a mobster organisation The Camonna Tong that are enemies with the Thieves Guild.
