Quantitative standard examples. Students must successfully complete at least 21 units each year. There is a one-year probationary period. Lydia fails all her courses in her first semester at GMU. She is put on probation for her second year and successfully completes all but one of her courses 27 out of 30 units , so she is then meeting the SAP standard of 43 units completed by the end of the second year.
One-year program: GMU will have a semester hour program that a full-time student can complete in one year. Because many students attend part time, GMU bases the maximum time frame on the number of semester hours attempted.
Increments are 12 semester hours, so to successfully complete the program on time, students must complete eight semester hours by the end of each increment.
