Who is optimus primes second in command

Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot. What happens when Bumblebee acts on a tip and lands himself in an emotionally devastating situation? Roll for initiative as we tackle one of the strangest Transformers tales of all time! Rogue Dinobot leader Grimlock finds himself transported to the land of Menonia, a medieval world where only the strongest may rule!

Hark to the epic tale of Grimlock the Barbarian, which begins right here, right now, only on TFwiki! A decade before the Maximals and Predacons made the scene, the Transformers fought alongside the Beastformers , cybernetically-enhanced alien animals from the planet Beast!

Released in Hasbro's markets as the unrelated Battle Beasts , in Takara's markets they were part of the Transformers series, even getting highlight installments in the Headmasters anime and manga!

This odd little corner of the Transformers multiverse has been revisited from time to time, with cameos and toy homages, and even continuations of their story in recent Takara Transformers manga!

These little beasties have been an underground hit with Transformers fans for decades, and July is the start of one hefty and overdue overhaul of Beastformers information on tfwiki! From the ways in which the toys were released there was a sequel series that dropped the Transformers branding and introduced the evil Laser Beasts faction and a dice-based "role playing" game , dropping the ways some toys weren't released aside from multipack- and vehicle-exclusive Beasts, there are two Beastformers who never got released as toys in Japan, despite showing up in multiple catalogs and checklists!

After saving Nyx from the Predacons, Dinobot has surrendered to the Maximals-but can this unexpected new ally truly be trusted? Optimus Prime eventually returned, once as a zombie, and again when he was rebuilt by the Quintessons to stop the spread of the Hate Plague.

Like the Generation One Prime before him, he turns gray upon dying. Seventy-five seconds later, Sari Sumdac uses the mysterious Key to revive him. Optimus Prime is the Autobot leader from the Generation 1 continuity family. Roller is a component of Optimus Prime in the Generation One continuity family. Roller should not look this cool.

In robot mode, Optimus Prime splits into three components: A wheeled drone module known as Roller. A Combat Deck. His amorality and anti-social behaviors are precisely why he excels at being a strategist, but they're the exact reason he should stay where he is; a right-hand man to a leader who can inspire the Autobots, but won't stoop the same depths Prowl does.

Across the myriad Transformers continuities , the Autobots have never had a consistent second-in-command in the same way the Decepticons do. Odd then, that no Transformers fiction has ever shown him leading the Autobots, even for a temporary period, especially since he'd be a natural for the job. Jazz is intelligent, a skilled fighter, a charismatic bot well-liked by his comrades, and is easily able to adapt to unfamiliar scenarios; hence, he's the Autobot with the closest bond to Earth and affection for its people, short of Bumblebee and Prime himself.

Were we destined to ever call upon him as leader, there's no doubt Jazz would excel. Leader of the Dinobots, the transforming titanium Tyrannosaurus Grimlock and his Dinobot compatriots are unusual among the Autobot ranks in that they're warriors first, who absolutely relish combat and violence. The only reason they chose the Autobots over the Decepticons is that they hate those who abuse their strength against the weak.

These qualities mean the Dinobots are effective as a subgroup, but that's how they should remain. On the one occasion Grimlock did become Autobot leader during the Marvel comics, he quickly devolved to an autocrat, more concerned with consolidating his power than actually defeating the Decepticons.

A great leader requires strength in equal measure with compassion, and while Grimlock possess the former, he's more than a little lacking in the latter.

The most iconic Transformer after Optimus Prime himself, Bumblebee has proven his original toy's motto "The least likely can be the most dangerous" to be true time and time again. One of the youngest and least physically imposing Autobots, Bumblebee still proved himself a capable Autobot, being one of the only characters in the original cartoon to last all the way through to beginning to end. In later media, Bumblebee's stature has only grown, ascending to become Prime's second-in-command in the movies and transforming into the leader of his own team in Robots In Disguise.

This makes him the only non-Optimus to have led an Autobot team in any animated series, pre-eminently qualifying him should the position of leader open full-time.

One of the many new characters introduced in the movie, Ultra Magnus was Optimus' original choice for his successor, but the Matrix of Leadership had other designs, and Magnus ceded command to Hot Rod without complaint. For his worth, Magnus initially declined the position, self-depreciatingly describing himself as "just a soldier," and its clear he didn't want the ever-mounting responsibilities of leadership.
