Even at the Cuban Restaurant which had a meat based menu , I was given a very tasty vegetarian meal on last minute request. There are lots of fun activities and the animation team was really great. They are very professional and also very sweet. Their personal touches added greatly to a very special vacation. The White Party experience was super. The whole experience was amazing. When we first checked in our accommodations were adjusted to allow for my walking disability.
They put us in rooms that were close to all amenities. The staff was amazing from our butler to bars, cleaning staff, Gardeners and restaurants. I must Give huge thank you's to our butler Jairon and Elizabeth a server at the bar who went out of there way to insure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Definitely this is where I would go again. A very nice resort with a lovely landscape. There were palm trees, flowers and vegetation everywhere. There were a variety of pools and golf carts to take you around the resort as it is quite large.
Our room had a garden view, however we were fortunate to still see the ocean as well. Our only complaint is that one day my hubby rushed out of the room quickly so the maid could clean and forgot to leave a tip. When we came back our room was not cleaned. Only the beds were made You get 1 hour of free internet per day. So if you are there 7 days, they give you 7 hours up front to use as you see fit.
I have to say the food was not bad at all. I've had better in other Caribbean vacation countries, but I will still happy with the food! It is also a bit of a drive from the airport, 1. The room need renovation, the drinks and the beach and the pool were no taste, the food in the buffet was cold and a lot of time empty, no fruit, no vegetable, the mini bar was empty and they give you one cerveza or cola at a time, no paper toilet in the bathroom at the beach and the pool Amazing beach Both pools were large and nicely laid out never any trouble to get a chair.
Buffet restaurant was horrible, dry overcooked meats very little selection. Al a carte restaurant's were very good. Most staff were friendly. Smoking permitted in all areas so hard to find a smoke free spot to be able to relax and enjoy your day. Rooms were very nice, pillows were like cement and never once had the beer and pop that was supposed to stocked in our fridge but cases of it could be seen being delivered around the resort.
Liked Cuba just would not go back to this resort. This was our 4th time at this resort. So that should tell you something. Beautiful resort, very quaint only rooms. Staff are amazing. Management are so very kind. Overall, it was a positive experience, beaches were nice, entertainment and staff were great. The resort however was quite rundown, especially for only being built in Not comparable to 4.
Very new and clean resort, friendly staff, always eager to ensure comfort for guests. I would recommend this to anyone even if not sure about visiting Cuba. Very good manager, checks everything herself, always on the go, always standing to monitor everyone and checks to make sure there is no dust on tables or chairs.
When there was no electricity or water on one day, she was there to have alternate arrangements for food etc. We are seniors. This was our 4th stay and we are so in love with the place, we are returning in 3 weeks and considering a further return in March. What is it about this place that is so overwhelming? Mostly everything! The sandy beach is long and there are lots of palapas, the water is as turquoise as can be, we are offered bar service to our lounge chairs and we are blessed with Janet to watch over our safety.
We spend most of our days at the beach enjoying the relaxing, quiet, lovely, private heaven. Unfortunately, the storm in previous weeks has done some damage to the walkways and to the beach restaurant. Work is in progress to repair so the restaurant can be re-opened and both walkways be safe. Meanwhile, lunch is served at the pool bar restaurant. The Coral Level itself is about 25 villas, some double, spread around a magnificently maintained landscape.
Everything is clean and very well maintained. The service to the villa, be it by the maids, the jacuzzi person or delivery is timely and well done. The pool and its surroundings, the restaurant El Colonial and bar lunch area, the bar and lobby are always staffed with great people who will do their utmost to please you, especially our butlers, mostly Yandry and Michel but also Dismar and Marechal.
The food, either at the Coral Level or at the main Lobby restaurants is offered in a wide variety and is tasteful. Melia Buenavista.
